Google takes on Iphone

Google is planing to release their mobile operating system with the help of Tmobile next month.That means google is ready to take on the Apple Iphone. Android is the mobile operating system developed by Google. Google is trying to rule the mobile world also with the release of Android.I think it is more user friendly than Symbian operating system.But now mainly the fight will be between Google and Apple.

If Google plays its cards right, its unveiling of the first Android-powered phone on next month will prove to be more than a distraction from iPhone-mania – it will be the moment the search giant capitalizes on Apple’s control issues.

First, the lowdown on Google’s Android mobile operating system. Think of it as an attempt to do for phones what Windows does for the PC, or OS X does for the Mac. But unlike Microsoft and Apple , Google isn’t looking to make money off of phone software or hardware; instead, it’s giving Android away for free to any phonemaker and wireless carrier who will bake it into a handset.

That clears up why Google needs Android. After all, there’s no shortage of smartphones out here already; if you don’t want RIM’s BlackBerry, you can get Apple’s iPhone, Nokia’s N95; or a Windows Mobile phone from Palm , Motorola or Samsung.With the release of google android on nokia and samsung phones the symbian will be out.

The mobile, “G-phone,” will run on Android, Google’s new software for mobile phones. It will be launched in New York , and will be available in the US by next month. It is anticipated that the phone will be available in British stores by November.

The G1 is expected to cost about $199 (£108), which would be around the same cost as basic 8GB version of the iPhone.The phone is expected to have as built-in GPS (global positioning system), a tilt sensor for gaming, and a camera. Iit will be able to run Google’s range of web applications, including Gmail, Google Docs and Google Maps, and will likely also feature Google’s new web browser, Chrome in the phone very easily and fastly.

Large Hadron Collider Computer,Hacked by Greeks

The computer at Large Hadron Collider was hacked by some hackers from Greek.They were targeting a system that was "one step away" from a control computer, but otherwise appear to have done no major damage, according to a report.

The system that was breached monitors the Compact Muon Solenoid Experiment, which will be analyzing data during subatomic particle collisions in the particle accelerator located along the French-Swiss border. Experiments, which began on Wednesday, are designed to help scientists explore particle physics theories.

Cern Scientists told that hackers left behind half a dozen files, damaged one CERN file, and displayed a Web page with the headline "GST: Greek Security Team," signing off: "We are 2600--don't mess with us,",during the attack.
As a result of the attack, the Web site--cmsmon.cern.ch--was not accessible for about some days.Fears that the experiments could prompt natural disasters or black holes that would swallow Earth have led to threatening phone calls and e-mails, CERN said.Anyway No more damaged caused for Large Haddron Collider due to the attack and the scientist regain full contorl over it.

Intel the chipmaker gaint in San Jose (California) produced a super bike The Chopper, a 250 bhp technology-charged dream bike.This dream project has done by Intel collaboration with partners such as Roper Mobile technology, Kontron and Streetdeck, among several others.

Intel commissioned Orange Country Choppers to design and develop this bike.This symbolises several major achievements of Intel in the embedded systems business over the last 30 years and also represents Quad Core processors, with the bike engine having four cylinders.

Not only being a marvel to behold, it also has some exciting features built into it. To start with,instead of keys it has a finger print activated ignition system,rear view cameras for mirrors, GPS system and an automated kickstand.

This super bike contain a personal computer powered by low power consuming Core 2 Duo processors that also handles the entire digital dashboard.

According to Paul Teutel Jr. of Orange County Choppers in the demo literature, “this is different from any other themed motorcycle the company has ever done in that we were able to use Intel’s product to help control and operate the bike. We have never quite done anything like it before.” and The General Manager of Intel Embedded Computing Division, Joe Jensen,said “traditionally most people know about Intel and its processors inside personal computers and servers. It is now 30 years since we played significant role in embedded systems. We are communicating our leadership in this area too.”


The all-digital dashboard with touch screen control replaces traditional dials and all mechanical and entertainment functions are displayed. These include speed and tachometer, turn signals, rear view mirror, audio and video dials.Apart from being a visual delight, it packs a lot of technology into it and demonstrates what is possible.

The built-in PC in the digital dashboard that functions like a laptop. You can use it to surf the Web, mail, write and review reports.

Aamir Khan's 'Taare Zameen Par' ,Oscar Nominated Indian Film

Taare Zameen Par,Aamir khan's directional debut,has been officially nominated at the Oscars seems to have a strong chance of winning the award as it has a mass appeal and has already touched the emotional chords of the audience. The film has secured an entry into the Oscars beating exceptional films like ‘Jodhaa Akbar’,‘A Wednesday’,‘Mumbai Meri Jaan’,‘Rock On’,‘Black And White’ and two Marathi films and a Telugu movie.

Rejecting the charge of lobbying for his films, Aamir said, “I feel there is nothing wrong if I say that I have a PR in Los Angeles, because I believe it is important to have one so that people get to know about the films we make in India through the media over there. My responsibility is and has been just to create awareness about the films that we make.”

Expressing happiness on the nomination, Aamir said, “I’m very happy that my film has been selected as we have got a chance to represent India internationally at a level where best films from all over the world are nominated for the honour.” The actor, however, expressed the desire to have ‘TZP’ reach the top 5 of the nominations, like his previous film ‘Lagaan’.

Speaking about the importance of an Oscar to him, the actor said, “I don’t target Oscars when I make a film. My films are mainly for the audience. I think it is my responsibility to make good films which are entertaining and worth watching for the audience and their money and time is what matters to me the most.”

“For the Oscar nomination I would say that the competition is tough, so I’m not sure if TZP would win the award, but I’m sure the film is going to leave a strong impact,” he added. Earlier, Aamir had reached very close to an Oscar for ‘Lagaan’ but had unfortunately missed it. His Rang De Basanti was also nominated for the award in 2006.

The movie was jointly produced by Aamir Khan Productions and PVR Pictures and starred Darsheel Safary as the protagonist. It it the story of an eight-year-old dyslexic boy and a teacher, played by Aamir, bringing the kid out of his predicament.

Taare Zameen Par tells the story of eight year old Ishaan (Darsheel Safary) who suffers greatly until a teacher (Aamir Khan) identifies him as dyslexic. Both commercially and critically acclaimed,[6] Taare Zameen Par won the 2008 Filmfare Best Movie Award as well as a number of other Filmfare and Star Screen Awards. It was declared tax free by the Government of Delhi.[7] The Walt Disney Company has bought the home video rights for distribution of an international edition DVD for future release in North America, the United Kingdom, and Australia.[8] This is "the first time an international studio has bought the video rights of an Indian film."

Aamir khan does it again. And the surprise package is the child artist Darsheel who stunned me absolutely. He plays the role of an 8 year old boy named Ishaan Awasthi , suffering from dyslexia. Aamir khan plays his mentor , a teacher who understands him and brings out the best in him , fans the wind beneath his wings. Tisca who plays the kid’s mom gives a heart wrenching performance as well. Never once during the length of the movie I felt anybody was acting , it was as real as it could get.

This movie is going to make you reminisce your childhood , this movie is going to put up a warm smile on your face when the little boy rejoices , it is going to hold your breath when the kid is on his journey of exploring the world , it is going to leave you with moist eyes more than once.

Amazing cinematography. The movie has been shot from perfect profiles as required. What struck me was the bold use of close ups while shooting the exhilarating moments of joy or sorrow. Use of simple and very ordinary sets yet there are burst of colours from time to time , like the blue wall in the Ishaan’s room , the funky costume which Aamir wears in the song bum bum bole or be it picturesque hilly terrain with a stretch of alluring blue . Another thing was the silent expression of feelings. There’s a scene when Ishaan’s parents come to meet him after his first week in the boarding school. His indignation and hurt is beyond words. All he does is to run around the basketball court spending his pent up emotions.

A lot of the movie’s power of expression comes from the powerful background score and melodious-meaningful songs. The Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy trio spins magic again , and Prasoon Joshi spellbounds by the simple yet profound lyrics.It is difficult to pick the best out of the songs but the song MAA smudged my kohl lined eyes, so that has to be the best .

With a 800×480 VGA screen, the top that this is the best-looking screen we’ve ever seen on a Windows Mobile device. It puts all the others to shame. It’s not just that the screen has an amazing resolution, it’s that the screen is vibrant and clear as day.The speaker volume in general could have been a little louder and the sound could have sounded a little fuller. Speakerphone was the same.

The third generation of mobile networks brings the convenience of broadband Internet to your mobile phone. Fast data transfer speeds give you quick, easy access to a world of audio and video streaming, Web surfing, multimedia messaging and email wherever you go.Calls came in and out with crystal clear quality. The ear speaker was plently loud and the party on the other end said we sounded like we were on a land line.

The Xperia X1 has all the HSDPA,3G,Wifi facilities.Our unit had the 850MHz/1900MHz US 3G bands so we were rockin’ over HSDPA just fine. In fact, web browsing was abnormally fast. We didn’t find much of a difference between browsing over Wi-Fi or HSDPA.While the device isn’t the lightest phone on the market, we think it’s build quality is almost second-to-none. Maybe even iPhone status.The sliding mechanism was fantastic even though the device isn’t a normal “flat” slider.

Pioneer solved these problems by using a disc structure that can reduce crosstalk from adjacent layers, resulting in a 16-layer optical disc that can playback high-quality signals from every layer.

For the read-out system, Pioneer achieved stability in the playback of recorded signals by employing a wide-range of spherical aberration compensator and light-receiving element that can read out weak signals at a high signal-to-noise ratio in the optical pick-up mechanism.

The 16-layer optical disc technology, capable of storing much more data than the conventional discs on one disc.This will reduce the no of disks.Pioneer claims that this has also the capacity to store data for a very large period than any other disk at present
