Google Plus (aka Google+), Google's new social network, might offer the right mix of sharing and privacy to woo you away from your Facebook account. If you don't know how to use it, though, it's just a confusing mess of circles and contacts. So we've assembled a few tips to help you get started. (If you aren't on Google Plus yet, try our Google Plus invite trick.)







Tweak your email notification options

By default, Google Plus will spam your Gmail account with notifications for practically anything involving your new account. You can go to the Google Account options to uncheck all of the ones you don't want to get, thereby reducing your Gmail traffic considerably.

Change your profile's field-sharing settings. Your Google Account has certain basic fields that it can share with anyone--but you don't have to go along with maximum sharing. Open your Google Account Profile and privacy settings, click Edit visibility on profile, and then click the individual profile fields and determine how public you want to make them.

Disable resharing. Google Plus may make it easy for you to segregate who you share your information with, but your connections have no such limitations, meaning that something you share with a select few can still spread like wildfire across your networks. Nevertheless, you can disable resharing of a certain post after posting it: Just click the arrow in the upper-right-hand corner of the post and then click Disable resharing.

Check your Incoming feed. Unlike Facebook, Google Plus lets people share things with you even if you're not following them. Consequently you'll want to check your Incoming feed now and then to see whether you're missing out on anything interesting from someone you don't follow. Think of it as a spam folder that occasionally contains something interesting.

Use the Your Circles option while sharing. Google Plus's Circles system is great for letting you use your Plus account to set barriers between the various groups of people you want to share things with. If most of what you share on Google Plus isn't especially privacy-sensitive, however, use the Your Circles sharing option to automatically share items with all of your circles and avoid the trouble of clicking each individual circle.

Start some Sparks. In addition to following people, you can search for interesting stuff to share about particular topics in the Sparks section on the side menu of the main page. Click Sparks, and search for things that you're interested in or browse through the featured topics; if you want to pin a search on your sidebar for easy future access, click the Add Interest button under the search field.

Click through profile pictures. You can easily cycle through other people's profile pics by clicking on them.

Add some basic formatting. As with Google Talk and Google Buzz, you can add basic text styles to some of your Google Plus text. Paired asterisks (*text*) make bold text, paired underscores (_text_) make italics, and paired dashes (-text-) make strikethroughs.

Google rolled out its new project - Google + which is a new social network to compete with the Facebook.As per the first impressions and the initial review, Google is able to compete the facebook to somewhat extend. It is currently now in the beta phase with limited invites. Here are the detailed features and Review of the Google Plus.

Google + Features

• Google+ Design: Aesthetically, it’s all Google — minimalist with plenty of white space. Nobody is going to complain about the design, but nobody is going to cheer about it, either.
• Google+ Usability: Google+ isn’t overwhelmed by its many features. It’s easy to navigate and its icons speak for themselves. After a few minutes of exploring, I quickly got the hang of it.
• Google+ Stream: The core of Google+ is the Stream, which doesn’t bring anything new to the table. It’s a lot like Google Buzz or the Facebook News Feed.
• Google+ Circles: Circles is well-implemented. It’s far easier than creating a Twitter List or a Facebook Friend List. The drag-and-drop functionality is a welcome addition, and the cute animations that appear when you perform actions give the product personality. That doesn’t necessarily mean users will take the time to create friend groups.
• Google+ Profiles: Google+ Profiles essentially port the existing data on your Google Profile. There’s nothing particularly special about Google+ Profiles, yet. One of the nice things is that it includes a Tabs feature, where users can add content from their Google Buzz or their Google +1s. This feature already exists on Google Profiles, but we bet developers will be able to add tabs to Google Profiles in the future, customizing and personalizing profiles.
• Google+ Hangouts: Hangouts is one of the more innovative concepts of Google+, and we think it’s a cool approach to getting users to accept group video chat. The camera switching feature (it changes who’s on camera based on who’s talking) is far superior to having multiple video feeds open at the same time. That said, it will require users checking their Google+ streams every day for potential chats to join. If Google+ gains traction, Hangouts will be a killer feature.
• Google+ Sparks: Sparks may end up being Google+’s most underrated feature. The company has essentially created a recommendation engine without calling it one. It’s designed to augment Google+, and if it works as Google designed it, it will create winners and losers in the publishing world, making Google +1 buttons actually matter. Before that becomes a reality though, it needs traction and it should consider acquiring advanced content recommendation technology from a company like Trapit or my6sense.
• Google+ Photos: The photo editor is essentially Facebook photos but with a photo editor. It’s quick and well-organized, making it a welcome addition to Google+. It should take a cue from Instagram and create simple ways to make photos more “artistic” and personalized.
• Mobile: The mobile version of Google+ is really simple, which is fine for a first release. It only has two unique features: instant photo uploads and Google+ Huddle. Instant photo uploads is a cool idea, but we worry about auto-uploading all of our photos for privacy reasons. We can see some users not being happy about auto-uploads, even if the albums they’re uploaded to are private. This could potentially create a lot of “garbage.”
• Google+ Huddle: Huddle is basically a group-texting feature for the Circles you create. It makes sense as a product, but it isn’t terribly exciting. I’m going to stick with GroupMe for now.

Google + Review

According to us, the Google+ is a bold and dramatic attempt at social. There’s a reason why Google calls this a “project” rather than a “product” — they don’t want people to think of this as the final product, but as a constantly-evolving entity that permeates every corner of the Google empire.  Overall, Google+ is solid. But I’m not going to call it a Facebook killer or a game-changer. The last Google product I said that about was the ill-fated Google Buzz.

New version of Google Nexus smartphones featuring high-speed processors with speeds up to 1.5 GHz

According to some unconfirmed news, it is hearing that the Google Nexus smartphones are going to have a new version, which is all set to get into the market by the end of this year itself. This new version of Google Nexus smartphone will feature quad core Qualcomm Krait or Texas Instruments OMAP4460 with clock range of 1.2-1.5 GHz.

This new Google smartphone will have a big display with a resolution of 720p, making it more suitable for viewing high-definition videos. Video recording can be carried out in a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Other notable thing is that it will have front and rear camera resolution of 1 and a 5 megapixels. 5 megapixels is not big news but camera sensor demonstrates excellent results when compared to similar cameras especially in dark conditions.

Google's New Hybrid Android OS Merging Gingerbread and Honeycomb

There are reports that Google is preparing to introduce a new Android OS Update which will be a hybrid of the Honeycomb and  Gingerbread with adapting the best features from both the OS. Android 2.3 and 2.4 will be Gingerbread and the Android 3.0 honeycomb will be a tablet-only os which can be only used with tablet devices.

Google Nexus One from Vodafone UK

Last week we, Tech World reported that the CDMA version Google Nexus ONE Smartphone will be introduced by the Verizon mobiles and will showed on the upcoming 2010 CTIA Wireless show. Now sources indicates that the Google Nexus One smartphone will be introduced by Vodafone in UK.

Google Nexus One Smartphone Specifications include Wi-Fi, 3G, 5 megapixel autofocus camera, GPRS, HSDPA, a memory card slot, voice enabled keyboard and a touchscreen display. Google Nexus One smartphone measures about 119×59.8×11.5 mm.

Verizon introduces CDMA version of Google Nexus One Android Smartphone

Nexus One is the Android Smartphone from the Google. Recently reports shows that Google is going to introduce Nexus One foe the CDMA EV-DO network. Already Nexus One supports the GSM/ GPRS/EDGE and UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA networks.

Android is the Mobile operating system developed by the Google for the smartphones. Google Personalized Suggest syncs mobile and desktop search history

Google updated the desktop Searching service with the new Syncronisation. The new updated feature enables the easier searching on the mobile and desktop. The new updation google made to the Search is the Personalized Suggest that syncs the search results on the desktop with the mobile phone.

The new service helps the user to perform the same search on the Mobile that is performed earlier on the PC without typing it. The new service is now available for Android, iPhone and Palm WebOS platforms. Google Reader is more better now with new Features

Google recently introduced their updated version of Google Reader with more features added to the existing one. The new features added to the Google Reader will helps the Users to share, manage and discover content in the Reader. The users of Google Reader is now able to share certain sites that want to share with some other. The main features google recently included are "Send To", "Feeds from people you follow" and More control for mark all as read.
