Yamaha’s R15 is one of the most expected bike in 2008.Yamaha R15 150cc is inspired from R1 in every aspect.Fou can find the exceptional motorcycling experience in the R15. Yamaha YZF R15 150cc engine which powers the YZF R15 is the India’s first 150cc liquid cooled engine. Yamaha has adopted many advanced technologies which are usually used in higher engines for this 150cc bike.Yamaha introduces forged piston which comes with R15 first time in India for high power development.The other leading features are radiator cooling system,Six speed gear box,centrally mounted spark plug etc.

About the engine:-- The cylinder is made up of DiASil (Die-casting Aluminum-Silicon). The DiASil is a 20% silicon aluminum alloy.Because the cylinder is aluminum alloy it has excellent heat dissipation qualities and helps in reducing the engine weight.It is very hard and durable as compared to the older cylinders and avoid the need of steel cylinder sleeve
The mileage is about 45kms on highways and 38-40kms in city . Users said that the bike will not skid even at a speed of 120 km/h.They also said that complete tubeless providing 3 times better grip that Pulsar and about 2 times better that Karizma.
