Intel Octo-Core CPU


Recently Intel,the largest processor makers launched its new quad-core line-up,Nehalem.Intel is now planning to show off Octo-Core Xeon processors. These CPS are planned to built on theNehalem architecture. Intel Octo-Core CPUs benefit, unsurprisingly, not only from eight cores but the ability to execute two simultaneous threads on each - or 16 over the entire CPU.
In a dual-socket solution, that would give a near-ridiculous 16 cores running an actually-ridiculous 32 concurrent threads.

Actually the octo-core processors are not needed.Quad core processors are enough for a number of high end processes.But as the the war between AMD and Intel is going on,Intel enters the next level with these Octo-Core Processors.

Sony's New Generation PC in Market


Sony, the multinational giants have launched their brand new VAIO P 'Pocket style PC'. Small in size but big on functionality, is the main highlight of this new PC. The other major thing to be noted with this new PC is that it is much lighter than you expect, ie about 594g. This new Sony VAIO P series PC is as thin as a cell phone and easily slips into a pocket or a handbag.

General Motors to Launch Cadillac

There is a planing going on by the General Motors,India to introduce the cadillac range automobiles in Indian auto market.The company had first planned to launch Hummer in india. Cadillac CTS is introducing by the company to compete with the German luxury brands like Mercedes-Benz, Audi and BMW.

General Motors also planing to introduce the Chevrolet Cruze by the mid of 2009. The Honda Civic and the Toyota Corolla can be successfully competed using the Cruze in the fast growing Indian car market. The company aims at introducing LPG and CNG in most of its current Indian models. It has already introduced the CNG version of the Chevrolet Optra.

2010 Porsche Panamera Features

The new 2010 Panamera,a four-door sports sedan is presented by the Porsche recently. Volkswagen’s 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine which offering 200 horsepower powers the entry level 2010 Porsche panamera. BMW launched 7 Series in india


BMW ,the luxuary car makers launched the 7 series in India.Actually it is the 5th generation of its flagship model. The muscular BMW model is designed for sporting automotive style, luxury and driving.BMW 7 series is available in three models 730Di, 740Li and 750Li. The BMW 750Li model will be available from January 2009 at a price of Rs. 9,330,000 while other two models will be available from mid-2009.

New BMW 3 series will also be launched by the BMW in India this year. BMW 3 series will be available in two petrol models - 320i and 325i priced at Rs. 26,90,000 and Rs. 32,90,000 respectively.BMW will also introduce two diesel models of 3 series – 320d and 320d Highline priced at Rs. 29,50,000 and Rs 30,50,000 respectively.

FERRARI has named the open topped version of the F430 Scuderia the 16M in celebration of Ferrari's16th formula One constructors championship.Ferrari F430 16M Scuderia made its debut at bologna and is a limited edition.

The Scuderia Spider 16M was unveiled at the world final of the Ferrari one-make racing series at Mugello in november.The scuderia version of which 499 will be built is 80Kg lighter than the F430 Spider,has an exclusive interior including a customised ipod Touch(to control the Audio System) and a carbon fibre outer shell for th eroll-over hoops.The technical Specification is somewhat same as the Scuderia coupe.it gets the same 510PS,4.3-litre V8 from the hard-top that delivers a 0-100Kmph in 3.7 sec and is goodfor a top speed of 314kmph.Ferrai says that on its Fiorano test circuit this is the fastest open topped road ferrari ever built.

Ferrari F430 16M comes with seven electro hydraulic actuators which lift the rear deck while the fabric hood folds underneath it-all in 20 seconds.The car is expected to be launched by February 2009.The price is expected about Rs 1.6 crore.

2009 Renault F1 R29 Review and Technical Specifications

The new R29 is a development in design philosophy aimed at extracting maximum performance from the new aero regulations, slick Bridgestone tyres, and KERS system, whilst further developing the strong features of the R28.This time the design team has moved towards using alternative materials and construction methods, such as the carbon-titanium gearbox casing, increased use of MMC aluminium and magnesium.

The front end of the car is dominated by the 2009 aero specification wide front wing which has a driver controlled adjustable incidence flap. This looks very different to previous years being much closer to the ground and has much greater influence on the air flow over the tyres due to its increased span. Great attention has therefore been paid to the end plates which have become much more critical devices than they have been in previous years. The front end also has a more radical front suspension layout with new geometry including inclined wishbones and higher monocoque in order to maximise the new slick tyres and improve aerodynamic efficiency.

Moulded carbon fibre and aluminium honeycomb composite monocoque, manufactured by the Renault F1 Team and designed for maximum strength with minimum weight. RS27 V8 engine installed as a fully-stressed member.
Front suspension
Carbon fibre top and bottom wishbones operate an inboard rocker via a pushrod system. This is connected to a torsion bar and damper units which are mounted inside the front of the monocoque. MMC aluminium uprights and machined magnesium wheels.

2010 CHEVROLET EQUINOX REVIEW AND SPECIFICATIONS


Chevrolet unveiled the all-new 2010 Equinox, a compact crossover that blends distinctive design with outstanding efficiency. A new, 2.4L direct injection engine helps the Equinox deliver expected best-in-segment estimated highway fuel economy which is 25-percent improvement over the previous model.
The Equinox's new styling looks more contemporary with prominent wheel arches and the obligatory Chevy twin-port grille. Inside, a new dual cockpit setup looks very similar to the one in the larger Traverse. As expected of any new model these days, the full array of USB audio, Bluetooth and DVD entertainment systems are also now available.The 2010 Chevy Equinox appears to share its body-side stampings, wheelbase, and certain other key elements with the Cadillac. This prototype’s front end appears to be darn close to that of the shorter-wheelbase Vue, although its thin bar in the middle of the grille—as opposed to a fat bar at the top of the grille—clearly gives this one away as a Chevy.
The 2010 Chevrolet Equinox features an efficient 182hp 2.4L new engine from GM which will be the best in fuel economy in the segment of 30 mpg in the Highways and 21 mpg in the city. The SUV also gets another varient which is equipped with 3.0-litre dual-overhead cam V6 with 255 hp engine with fuel economy of 25 mpg in the highways and 18 mpg in city.

Like the previous Flying Spur and GT models, the GTC Speed will feature an uprated version of the standard car’s twin-turbocharged 6.0L W12 engine. The GTC Speed looks similar to its coupe relative, some changes have been made, the most obvious one being that blue canvass top. Also, it comes with wider wheels than both GT and “normal” GTC, with more pronounced exhaust pipes too. A small rear spoiler will add to the list of differences in kit from Speed coupe.

Specific changes to the engine include a new crankcase design, a lighter camshaft chain and a faster cam sensor, as well as increased boost pressure from the turbos.

The six-speed transmission can be left in two fully automatic modes or used as a pseudo manual where the driver can change gears sequentially, via either the gearlever or paddles mounted behind the steering wheel.
