Google maps are widely used in Mobile phone to get the exact directions and users are using the sevice since 2005. Last day google announced the latest addition to Google Maps - Google Maps Navigation (Beta) for Android 2.0 devices.

Google Maps Navigation is similar to what you find in a GPS navigation system, like 3D views, turn-by-turn voice guidance and automatic rerouting. The only difference of Google Maps Navigation with other navigation system is that the new beta Google Maps Navigation service provides direction by using the phones internet conncetion.

The Google Maps Navigation provides the following features with the internet connection

• Automatic map updation
• Search in plain English
• Search by voice
• Traffic view
• Search along route
• Satellite view
• Street View

Google Maps navigation is first available with the Droid Android phone from Verizon. The new google updated service will be available in the united states initially and later it will be avilable to other countries too. Just like all other google services the new Google Maps Navigation is also free.
