Samsung announced the new Nexus S Android Phone in collaboration with Google. This is Googles second Android Smartphone which is designed based on the Samsung's Galaxy S android smartphone. Google Nexus S Android phone will have a 4-inch Contour display with curved glass screen, capacitive touch sensor and anti-fingerprint display coating.
Samsung-Google Nexus S smartphone is powered by a 1GHz Hummingbird Cortex A8 processor and has got Near Field Communication (NFC) built-in connectivity and the latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. It has a 16GB onboard storage capacity and features haptic feedback vibration, three-axis gyroscope, accelerometer, digital compass, proximity sensor, light sensor and software noise-cancellation.
Google Nexus S smartphone specs include a 5 Megapixel camera and a front VGA camera, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity, quad-band GSM/EDGE, tri-band HSPA networks, and microUSB connection. It comes equipped with a 1500 mAH Lithum Ion battery which offers a talk time up to 6.7 hours on 3G and standby time up to 17.8 days on 3G.
As per the latest reports, the new Android 2.3 Gingerbread Nexus S smartphone will be available unlocked and carrier-independent initially through Best Buy stores in the U.S. and in UK after December 20 via Carphone Warehouse stores.
