Here is one of the most awaited smartphone of this year - Sony Ericsson Xperia S which got recently announced at the CES 2012. Here we are discussing the specifications and features of this new Sony Ericsson Xperia S Android Smartphone. This new Sony Ericsson Xperia S smartphone is the first from the new Sony Xperia Next generation smartphone lineup.  As per the sources, the new smartphone will be a perfect competor to other high end Android smartphones.

Coming to technical specifications, the mail highlight of this Sony Xperia S smartphone is its powerful dual-core 1.5GHz processor and the dedicated 1GB of RAM. It sports a 4.3-inch HD resolution 1280×720 Reality Display with Sony's innovative Mobile BRAVIA Engine and a shatter proof sheet on scratch-resistant glass. Other Sony Xperia S Android smartphone features include 12 Megapixel main camera with Sony Exmor R for mobile and1080p Full HD video recording,  a 720p HD front camera, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/aGPS, Bluetooth,  HDMI and DLNA support etc.

Other than the above features the Sony Ericsson Xperia S smartphone supports quad-band GSM/EDGE and quad-band UMTS HSPA 3.5G networks. It also comes with support to NFC (Near Field Communications) that works with SmartTags and BRAVIA Sync. It has got a 32GB Internal memory and a powerful buil-in battery which offers a strong backup. The smartphone will comes available in two colors - black and white.

Currently there is no details regarding the pricing and availabilty of the new Sony Xperia S Android Smartphone. But we expect the smartphone to be available by 2012 Q1.
