Sony unveiled its new external USB 3.0 HDD - Sony HD-PG5 which is compatiable with sony products. This new Sony HD-PG5 USB 3.0 HDD has got a 2.5-inch display and offers a high speed data transfer with the USB 3.0 Superspeed interface. It comes with a 500 storage capacity and can be connected to BRAVIA HDTVs via USB for direct recording of HD television programmes from the TV’s tuner or connected cable/satellite service, and allows users to do PC-free transfers of video footage from compatible Handycam camcorders with Direct Copy function.
Sony HD-PG5 USB 3.0 HDD also has a built-in Password Protection Manager software thta uses powerful 256-bit security which enables the users to protect their files against unauthorised access. The HD-PG5 is pre-formated with NTFS file system and there is the FAT32-formatted HD-PG5U model.
