Happy news for all ipad lovers as Apple finally announced its iPad2 offically. The all new Apple iPad2 tablet device will be more light, thin and faster than the curent Apple iPad. To be exact, Apple iPad2 is around 33% thinner and 15% lighter than the iPad. Here we are also providing the specifications and updated features of the new Apple iPad2.

Coming to the Apple iPad2 specifications, It comes powered with the new Apple A5 dual-core CPU which offers 9 times performance than the current Apple iPad. Apple has also added two cameras to the new Apple iPad2 for FaceTime video calling and photo shooting(support 720p video recording at 30 fps)  while the current version has no built-in cameras. Apple iPad2 sports a 9.7-inch LED-backlit IPS multitouch display supporting a 1024×768 resolution at 132ppi, and is fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating.

Other Features of the Apple iPad2 includes Bluetooth, GPS/AGPS, 3-axis gyro, accelerometer, digital compass and ambient light sensor. Apple Offers this new iPad2 in WiFi only and WiFi + 3G models. In this  the Apple iPad2 WiFi+3G will comes available in two models - one with UMTS/HSDPA/GSM/EDGE support and the Verizon model that supports CDMA EV-DO Rev. A data. Apple iPad2 comes avalable in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models also.

Another major update comes in the OS part, as the new Apple iPad 2 comes pre-installed with the new Apple iOS 4.3 with Photo Booth app that adding effects to your photos.  Apple will offer the coming iPad2 in two color options - Black and White. A per the announcement, Apple iPad2 will hit the US markets on March 11 and will be launched in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK on March 25.

Coming to the Pricing part, Apple iPad2 WiFi-only will costs $499 for 16GB, $599 for 32GB and $699 for the 64GB models. On the other hand Apple iPad2 WiFi+3G will be available at a price of $629 for 16GB, $729 for 32GB and $829 for 64GB models.
