The recent latest news from the Smartphone industry is that the new Blackberry Bold 9700 and Storm 2 will gets OS updates. The company has officially announced that the new Blackberry Bold 9700 will feature blackberry OS 5.0.0.979 version instead of the Blackberry OS 5. This will be valid in India too.
On the other hand Blackberry Storm 2 9550 will comes with the updated blackberry OS 5.0.0.1015 version. The only thing is that Blackberry haven't officially confirmed about the Storm 2 OS update. There are news coming out about company's blackberry OS 6 too.
Anyway the existing customers can update their Blackberry bold and Storm 2 smartphone via internet. Keep in mind, you should backup your contents before updating the smartphone OS.
