While Apple iPad is ruling the Tablet market, recently a new tablet WePad which is based on the Android Operating system launched. The new WePad Android Tablet is considered to be the rival to the Apple iPad and is now available in Germany. Sources indicate that it will be launched internationally soon. Wepad Anroid Tablet features a slightly larger screen compared to Apple iPad and gets a 11.6-inch touchscreen screen with 1366 x 768 resolution of pixels.

While coming to the Wepad Tablet Specifications, it comes powered with the 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor and is also comes equipped with with 16GB of flash storage. The features of WePad Android Tablet device includes WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 and a 1.3-megapixel camera and is capable of Full HD 1080p playback. WePad Android tablet also includes a memory card reader, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, stereo speakers, an audio output with an optional GPS. The WePad Android tablet also is provided with two USB 2.0 ports, Flash and Adobe AIR support.


The WePad Android Tablet device offers about 6 hours battery life with the built-in LiIon battery. The new WePad Android tablet will be available with a starting price of €449 ($611). Similar to the iPad the WePad will alsobe available with added 3G and having 32GB of storage priced at €569 ($774). As per the sources, the preordering of the WePad Android tablet device will be start by APril 27 and will be shipped by july/august.
