Last day, HP officially announced its Tablet Device - HP Slate. HP Slate has been in the news for over a month and with the official announcement, the device gets specifications. HP Slate Tablet Device gets an 8.9-inch capcitive touchscreen display with mulittouch feature and 1024×600 pixels resolution.
HP Slates comes powered with the 1.6GHz Intel Atom Menlow Z530 processor and features an Intel graphics accelerator that supports 1080p HD video playback. HP Slate Specifications includes 1GB of DDR2 RAM, a 3MP camera, a VGA front camera for video calling, SIM card slot, WiFi, HDMI port and support for Pen/digitizer. HP Slate touchscreen gadget gets a flash storage and comes available in 32GB and 64GB storage.
HP Slate Tablet Gadget also comes with the much wanted expansion ports such as USB port and an SDHC card slot. It is equipped with a a 2-cell polymer battery which provides a battery life upto 5 hours. HP Slate Tablet Device gets 150×234x14.7 mm dimensions and 0.67kg weight. The HP Slate will be a competor to the Apple iPad and as per the responses Apple iPad will make the HP Slate out of way through its Brand Name Popularity in Tablet devices.
HP Slate runs Windows 7 operating System. HP Slate tablet device is expected to be launched soon and comes available at a price of $549 for the 32GB HP Slate Model while the HP Slate 64GB model will be priced at $599.
