Fiat and tofas developed the Linea ina 50-50 joint Venture. Linea was first introduced in Istanbul last october. The Fiat Linea will be lauched with a 1.4 liter 8v engine that produces 77 horsepower and a 1.3 liter Multijet 16v turbodiesel engine that produces 90 horsepower, both combined with a five-speed mechanical transmission. The Fiat Linea is expected to be priced between Rs 7 - 9 lakhs.
At the mean time Honda launched its new 2009 version Honda City in india. The third generation Honda City that has a complete new design, new engine, spacious interiors and has many active and passive safety features along with 4 years warranty. The new HONDA city priced between Rs 7.7 lakh and Rs 8.9 lakh.
Honda City and Fiat Linea comes in the same segment and both two have almost same price. So there is a tight competiton between Fiat Linea and Honda City. Here is the detailed comparisons of Fiat Linea and Honda City.

I am planning to purchase a entry level luxury sedan car which has a good mileage. And for this I have taken test drive of 3 models of this range first was newly launched Fiat Linea, second model is SX4 and third is Honda City model. And after taking test drive i found that the Honda City is best entry level sedan in the range of 7-8 lakh. First of all lets compare the mileage of these three models. The mileage of the Honda City model is best among these three model as i heard from my friend and relatives.
I am pretty much satisfied with the performance of this model in the test drive and it has been a trademark of Honda India that its car models always provides good mileage to its customers. If we compare the interiors of these cars then there is not much difference between the interiors of these models. though quality wise the Maruti SX4 model has better interiors then other two models. From exterior designing point of view we can say that the Linea model has most good looking exteriors.
But because i am looking for performance of the model so the Honda City is the model which i liked the most. And from the response which users are providing for Honda City car the Honda City model best available model in luxury car segment in the range of 7 lakh rupees. The Honda City model was awarded by the car of the year award for the year 2009. Over all the Honda city model is very well designed model and it is a perfect combination of style and performance.

for sure if you like to have a gr8 performance, luxury, style,comfort,than go for the new city. whether it is sx4 , linea ,or any other of this segment....city is the best..you are not buying a car but also the name honda, which also makes you happy when you drive..so go for a honda..one name for perfection.
SX4 is a roomy, comfortable and heavy car with 205 mm wide tyres. I own a SX4 ZXI for nearly two years and love driving it around. It gives me 9.5 kms/l in the city and around 13.5 on the highway (the highway driving in Kerala can be as bad as the city drive sometimes!). What more can one expect from a car like this....so sx4 is a best car in its segment...
i own a Zxi version of Sx4 since the last three months. No doubt it is an exceptionally good car. Driving this car in highways is real good and comfortable. Mileage is great . Handling is good.
