AMD - Advanced micro devises introducing a new family of processors that is AMD opteron which starts from six cores which is coming with three low-power chips for two-, four- and eight-socket systems.
Along with these low power six core opteron processors AMD also introducing two high power processors too.These six core SE processors consumes 105 watts and it is having a very high frequency of 2.8 GHz.like the low power six core processors this high power processors also with two and four and eight socket systems
AMD claims that this six core Opteron processors are having a better performance as compared with the quad core processors that is opteron will give a 34% more performance than the phenom X4.Amd introduced some eminent features like the HyperTransport Assist which will increases memory and input/output performance.
