Recently Tata motors announced that it was developing an elecric verison of the indica along with a Norwegean company.The indica EV was displayed at the Bolgona motor Show and the Tata said that the car will go on sale in Europe next summer.While the body shell of the car is exported from india,the rest of the car will be made at the Norwegian unit,where Tata also holds a 50 percent stake.The indica EV has a range of 200 Km and can go to 60Kmph from 0 within 10 seconds.
Tata also plans to build the electric version of the Ace from the Norwegian unit.Like the Indica EV,the Ace will also be marketed in European market.However does have plans to launch the Ace in the US market shortly.
