The italian highway police has taken delivery of a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4.Its prime purpose-apart from giving the police driverss the thrill of their lives-so to deter people in lesser cars from speeding but it will also be used for the high speed delivery of medical supplies including organs for transplant.A special cooler for that purpose is part of the police specification,along with the blue and white paint job,the flashing lights and the gun rack.
The new Gallardo LP560-4 Polizia, which replaces the previous Gallardo in use by the Italian police force since 2004 has a 560 horsepower engine that has a top speed of 203 mph.Other features include GPS facility,automatic number plate recognition system and all other high endpolice gadgets.
The new Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Polizia is destined to be not only the fastest, but also the most famous police car – even beyond Italian borders.
