Apple rolled out its new thunderbolt display which is the first of this kind. THis new thunderbold display is basically a 27-inch monitor which is combined with a docking station for Mac Netbook. Apple Thunderbolt Display has got an thin elegant design on aluminium and glass enclosure. It comes with a MagSafe connector for charging MacBook Pro or MacBook Air.
Coming to the specification details, the 27-inch Apple Thunderbolt Display has got an IPS LCD panel with a 178-degree viewing angle and features 2560×1440 resolution, 375cd/m2 brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio. It sports built-in 2.1 speaker system, built-in FaceTime HD camera with microphone, three USB 2.0 ports, FireWire 800 port, Gigabit Ethernet port, Thunderbolt port and Kensington security slot. It uses the Thunderbolt I/O Technology which allows the customer to connect a Thunderbolt-enabled Mac to the display with a single cable, and the Mac is then able to use display’s FaceTime camera, high quality audio, and Gigabit Ethernet, FireWire 800, USB 2.0 and Thunderbolt ports.
Apple Thunderbolt Display comes with an ambient light sensor which automatically adjusts the display brightness based on external lighting conditions and uses only as much energy as necessary to provide an optimum viewing experience. The Apple Thunderbolt Display is priced at $999.
