Audi had launched their new sports car, Audi R8 today for the Indian market and some of the notable things related with this new 2 door coupe is that when gets compared with the other cars in the same segment, this new sports car, Audi R8 excels in almost all the departments like appearance, design, features, safety and performance.

Audi R8 sports car Specifications : This new R8 is loosely based off of the Lamborghini Gallardo platform, and is powered by either a 420-hp 4.2-liter V-8 engine borrowed from the RS4, or the 5.2-liter V-10 borrowed from the Gallardo, making 525-hp in this application. Audi R8 Sports Car will have a top-speed of 301 KM/hr and an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds. It features a maximum Fuel tank capacity of about 23.8 gal and the mileage estimated is about 12 kmpl in the cities and 19 kmplp in the highways. A full-time quattro all-wheel drive system puts that power to the ground and a choice between either a 6-speed manual transmission or an R-tronic automated sequential manual transmission give the driver full control.

Audi R8 sports car Design : It is designed on an aluminium in the Audi space frame design with new and improved style sideblades which offers better aerodynamics and increased air efficiency. Other design features of the new Audi R8 Sports Car includes LED headlights, arrow taillights, large air dams, four tail pipes and retractable spoiler in the rear end.

Audi R8 sports car Safety : Audi R8 features ABS, EBD, electronic stability control and traction control. The car comes with seat-mounted and knee-protecting airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, driver and passenger head restraint whiplash protection system, remote anti-theft alarm system and tyre pressure monitor system.

Audi R8 sports car Features : Standard features include things like satellite radio, Alcantara/leather sport seats, 19-inch alloy wheels, and bi-xenon headlights (full LED headlights on the 5.2). Options include a rearview camera, hill hold assist, navigation system and a Bang & Olufsen audio system. There are also other features like automatic Front air conditioning, Driver and passenger heated front seats, ABS and driveline traction control and Keyfob (all doors) remote keyless entry.
