Canon introduces its latest PowerShot series digital camera - PowerShot SX30 IS. The new Canon PowerShot SX3 IS is considerd to be the world's first digital camera which offers a 35X-wide angle optical zoom lens. It also offers Optical image stabilization also. This camera will be the perfect one for photo enthusiasts capturing memorable images or videos at sporting events or special occasions.
Canon PowerShot SX30 IS Digital Camera features a 14.1 Megapixel 24mm ultra wide angle lens and DIGIC 4 image processor. The Canon SX30 IS camera sports a 2.7-inch LCD display and is equipped with Intelligent Contrast Correction, Motion Detection Technology, ISO up to 1600, Face Detection and Smart Auto mode. The new digital camera offers a 35x ultra zoom. It uses Lithium ion rechargeable battery rather than the standard AA batteries and this will be the first camera using lithium rechargable battery.
Canon offers the new PowerShot SX30 IS digital camera at a price of $429.99 and it will be available from late September.

I have the Canon sx20 which is a great camera, I can take great zoom pics with it at 2.0 telephoto combined with 20x=40x, and hand held. Although it is challenging I still love trying, Canons stabilizers help alot, and Im sure they're not going to screw around when it comes to 35x with telephoto.
