ViewSonic VEB625 and VEB620 E-book Readers

ViewSonic launched its latest E-Book Readers - VEB625 and VEB620 for the UK markets. Both the E-book readers features a 6-inch display with 800X600 pixel resolutions and 16-level gray scale. The ViewSonic VEB625 features a touch Screen display. The ViewSonic eBook Readers are designed with the E-ink panel technology that has the authentic look and feel of traditional paper and yet makes the screen easy to read even in direct sunlight.

ViewSonic's VEB625 and VEB620 have almost same features which includes 2GB of internal memory, built-in G-Sensor, SD card slot, a 3.5mm audio jack and mini USB 2.0 connector. It comes equipped with shake technology that we found in Apple iPod touch and Sony Ericsson Shake phones, so that by shaking the readers user can turn the page. Both E-book reading devices comes with support to XML, HTML, pdf, txt, rtf documents and MP3 audio files.


Basic differences between the VEB620 and VEB625 Ebook readers comes in the Battery life, dimensions, Weight and WiFi support. ViewSonic VEB620 e-book reader offers a battery life upto up to 8,000 page turns while the VEB625 offers just upto 6,200 pages. Dimensions of Viewsonic VEB620 are 188×126x9.9 mm (LxWxH) and weight 220g, while Viewsonic VEB625 gets 188×126x10.9 mm and 258g weight. ViewSonic VEB625 E-Book reader offers WiFi 802.11b/g connectivity.

ViewSonic offers the E-book Readers in UK for a price of £175 and £205 for the VEB620 and VEB 625 respectively. ViewSonic VEB625 and VEB620 will be available soon at Misco.
