Samsung announced Galaxy R (Z) Gingerbread smartphone for UK

Samsung UK recently announced its new Android Gingerbread smartphone - Samsung Galaxy R (Z) which is actually the successor of the Galaxy S II I9100 smartphone. According to the reports, the new Samsung Galaxy R (Z) smartphone will be available by the end of this month. The Samsung Galaxy R smartphone packs a 4.2-inch Super Clear LCD touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.


Coming to the specification details, the new Samsung Galaxy R (Z) smartphone comes powered with a 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core chip, 8GB of internal storage, and a microSD card slot. It also equips a a rear-facing 5MP camera with LED flash and 720p video recording (8MP and 1080p video for the S II), a front-facing 1.3MP camera, FM radio, and GPS. Other standard features of the new Samsung Galaxy R (Z) smartphone includes 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, a micro USB port, Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS etc.

Samsung Galaxy R Android Phone gets a metallic back case and it weighs just about 135g a little heavier than the older version. The pricing details of this smartphone is not available yet.
