Since Octavia has become an aged race horse, Skoda is developing an Octavia successor for emerging markets.The name of this new sedan is Felicia. Skoda Felicia is a D segment sedan which may arrive at automobile markets by middle of 2011.The 2011 Skoda Felicia or the Octavia replacement is expected to be shown at the 2010 major Motor Shows. Sources around the world claim that the Octavia successor is planned for a 2011 or early 2012 launch. As far as our knowledge goes, the the Octavia successor will be none other than a sedan form based on the Fabia platform with a modified look altogether.

The Felicia which comes in both diesel and petrol variants will have a 1781 cc Turbo Petrol engine and unspecified diesel engine. The petrol version will have a maximum Power of 147 Bhp at 5700 rpm and maximum Torque of 210 Nm at 1750 rpm. The all new Felicia comes with a 5 speed manual gearbox and latest safety features. This elegant skoda sedan vehicle is expected to have a price in the range of 9-10 lakh Rupees.Any way, the new Felicia is all set to boost Skoda’s already superior line-up of products in India by raising the benchmark in the sedan segment.
