HP recently announced its new tablet PC device officially - HP Slate 500. As per the first look, HP company designed the new Slate 500 tablet PC device for the business class customers and those who are looking for the ultimate mobility. HP Slate 500 Tablet PC sports a 8.9-inch capacitive touchscreen display and runs on 32-bit Microsoft Windows 7 professional OS.

While coming to the specifications overview, HP Slate 500 tablet pc comes powered with the 1.86 GHz Intel Atom Z540 processor and is also boosted with 2GB memory, 64GB SSD storage and integrated Broadcom Crystal HD accelerator. With this HD accelerator, the 8.9-inch tablet device supports 1080p HD video playback with ease. Other standard features of the HP Slate 500 Tablet PC includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3 MP camera, a VGA front facing camera, Bluetooth, two USB 2.0 port and HDMI port.



The all new HP Slate 500 tablet PC comes equipped with a 2-cell 30WHr polymer battery which offers a better lifetime. It measures about 15×22.6 x 1.47 cm and weighs about 0.68kg. This HP Slate 500 tablet PC device comes with the HP Slate Digital Pen, HP Slate Dock, and HP Slate Portfolio. While coming to the pricing details, HP Slate 500 Tablet PC is priced at $799 and is available intially in US and later be introduced in other countries.
