The most sensational news to hear is that Ford India, may launch their new Ford Fiesta hatchback in the Indian market. Recently, this new car was seen making it's test run in the Indian roads and also this model is now receiving very good reviews from the US market were it was launched a few months ago.
Some of the notable things regarding this Ford Fiesta hatchback launched abroad has a 1.6-liter, four-cylinder engine capable of generating 120 hp at 6,350 rpm and 112 of torque at 5,000 rpm. It does the 0-100kmph sprint in about nine seconds. It is reported that this vehicle gives 29 miles per gallon in the city and 38 on the highway, not expect that much mileage in these Indian roads.
Some of the other features in this new Ford Fiesta hatchback are ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain-side airbags, front-side airbags and a driver knee airbag. A tilt and telescopic steering wheel, height-adjustable driver seat and cap-less fuel filler are standard. It also has Ford's Sync voice-activated control for cell phones and MP3 players, sunroof, keyless engine start, leather upholstery, and heated front seats.
The other features are like this, a rigid platform and a McPherson strut front and twist beam with coil spring rear suspensions. The car has an electric-power steering and a six-speed PowerShift.
As per the trade, this is the perfect time for the Ford India to launch their new Ford Fiesta hatchback since after a very long time, Ford India has hit the bull's eye in India with the stupendous success of their new hatchback vehicle Ford Figo. Also it should be noted that the Indian market is being ruled by the vehicles that belongs to the hatchback series, especially by the hatchbacks from Maruti Suzuki.
