Sharp launches its two new Blu-ray recorders - AQUOS BD-HDS55 and AQUOS BD-HDS53 in Japan. The main highlight of the new Sharp Blu-ray players are the integrated HD tuner and built-in hard drive of storage capacity 500GB and 320GB respectively.
Sharp AQUOS BD-HDS55 and AQUOS BD-HDS53 Blu-Ray burners comes equipped with the new transcode technology that offers 10 times of recording time in Full HD. The Sharp AQUOS Blu-ray recorders also offers recording facility for CATV programmes and MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 codec support.
Sharp offers the AQUOS BD-HDS55 and AQUOS BD-HDS53 Blu-ray recorders at a price of 90,000 Yen and 80,000 Yen respectively. As per the announcement release date for the Sharp AQUOS blu-ray reorders will be 24th May.
