NU, Taiwan based Leading Company in Portable Solutions is going to introduce its new Portable Blu-Ray Burner- NU EBR240. The new NU EBR240 will be the world's slimmest portable blu-ray burner now available and it just measures 18mm thick [ 155x141x18mm dimesnions] and 380g weight.
While Coming to the Specifications and Features, NU EBR240 Blu-ray burner uses the USB 2.0 interface and is equipped with 8MB buffer memory. NU EBR240 Blu-ray writer comes the latest blu-ray technology which offees the dual layer blu-ray burning which enables the user to store double data on a single dual layer blu-ray disc. The blu-ray writer will adjust the writing speed as per the need to ensure integrity and minimize the disc error.
The NU portable Blu-ray burner comes with SmoothLink Buffer Under-run Prevention technology and offers a silent operation during reading and writing operations. NU Blu-ray burner can be powered through an USB cable from the laptop instead of a traditional power adapter. The new EBR240 Blu-ray burner from NU provides the user with 4x writing speed for BD-R and 2x for BD-RE. It also burns DVD+/-R at 8X, DVD+RW at 8X, DVD-RW at 6X and DVD+/-R DL at 4X.

USB 2.0? Why? Blu-Ray is a new technology and it is tethered to the old USB 2.0 specification. Why not USB 3.0? I was very interested because of the headline (size), but now, sorry, not interested in buying this product.
