Yesterday Microsoft, The Software Giant unveiled its first mobile handset - Microsoft KIN. Microsoft Kin phones are specially designed for the users who are actively doing social networking. Both the Phone were earlier known as Microsoft Turtle and Microsoft Pure.
The Microsoft Kin handsets will be available in two models- Kin one and Kin two. Both the phone gets a slider formfactor. Microsoft KIN One and Microsoft KIN Two are manufactured by Sharp and features a touchscreen display. The Phones comes built on the nVidia Tegra Platform. Both the KIN Phones run the Windows Mobile Platform - Windows MObile 6.5 OS or later.
Microsoft KIN One features a 5 Megapixel camera while the KIN two phone gets an 8 MegaPixel camera which supports HD videp recording. The KIN One handset included with 4GB internal memory and is a vertical slide QWERTY phone. On the other hand KIN Two phone also includes 8GB onboard memory and is a side-slide QWERTY phone. Other features of Microsoft KIN One and KIN Two phones includes Zune powered media players, Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi connectivity.
The Microsoft KIN One and KIN two phone will be exclusively available in US market through Verizon Wireless beginning in May and via Vodafone this autumn in Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Spain.
Pricing and availability of the Microsoft KIN Phones will be announced later.
