Bluetooth 3.0 has been launched recently and has not yet implemented in full performance on the gadgets. At the very same point of time, another interesting news is getting stronger and that is all about the upcoming Bluetooth 4.0 standard.
Sources shows that Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) now on its way to introduced the Bluetooth 4.0 that features low energy technology, wide range connectivity and has improved potential range.The new Bluetooth 4.0 has a theoretical range support of more than 200 feet where as the available Bluetooth 3.0 offers only up to 30 feet or 10m range.
Bluetooth v4.0 combines technology that includes the Classic Bluetooth technology, Bluetooth low energy technology, and Bluetooth High Speed technology which can now be used in a bluetooth gadget. Bluetooth 4.0 version will be launched by 2010 and the Bluetooth v4.0 enabled gadgets are expecte to hit the markets by early 2011.
