Other than MacBook Pro 13 notebook, Apple also introduces the new MacBook Pro 15 notebook featuring Intel Core Series Processors. Similar to the MacBook Pro 13 notebook, MacBook Pro 15-inch notebook features nVidia graphics, Backlited keyboard, better battery life, Multitouch trackpad and Unibody precision aluminium enclosure. The new Apple MacBook Pro 15 measures about 364×249x24.1mm dimensions and weighs 2.54kg.
Apple MacBook Pro 15 notebook packs a 15.4-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen LCD display with 1440×900 pixel resolutions. The notebook comes powered with either 2.4GHz or 2.53GHz Intel Core i5 processor with 3MB shared L3 cache memory. The notebook is also available with 2.66GHz Intel Core i7 processor with 4MB shared L3 cache memory. With the Intel Calpella platform based Core i5/i7 processors, Apple offers 50% better performance than the previous MacBook Notebooks.
Other Specifications of Apple MacBook Pro 15-inch notebook includes 4GB (upto 8GB) of memory, 320GB (upto 500GB or 512GB SSD) hard drive, and 256MB GeForce GT 330M GPU and Intel HD integrated graphics. The notebook also features nVidia Optimus technology with which the graphics can be perfectly switched as per the load. The notebook runs the Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard.
Apple MacBook Pro 15 Notebook features include a DVD drive, iSight camera, WiFi
802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 wtih EDR, Gigabit Ethernet, Mini DisplayPort, two USB 2.0, IEEE 1394b, ExpressCard/34 slot, One FireWire 800 port, MagSafe power port, SD card slot and a Kensington lock slot. The 15-inch MacBook Pro 15 notebook offers a battery life of around 8-9 hours with the built-in 77.5-watt-hour lithium-polymer battery.
The Apple MacBook pro 15 Notebook costs around 168,800 yen in Japan for the base model. At the same time MacBook Pro 15 notebook with Intel Core i5 2.53GHz, 500GB HDD gets a price tag of 188,900 yen while and the 2.66GHz Core i7 version of MacBook Pro 15 is priced at 208,800 yen.
