HTC joint hands with Sprint launches its new EVO 4G smartphone which will be the world's first 4G mobile smartphone. HTC EVO 4G will be the Android version of HTC HD2 and adds support for WiMAX high-speed network. The Sprint HTC EVO 4G smartphone gets a larger 4.3-inch touchscreen display.
The new HTC EVO 4G phone can be considered as the next generation superphone and comes powered by 1GHz Qualcomm’s Snapdragon QSD8650 processor. HTC EVO 4G supports EV-DO Rev. A 3G and WiMAX 4G networks. Other features of Sprint HTC Evo 4G smartphone includes WiFi, Bluetooth, a 8 Megapixel camera, a 1.3 Megapixel front camera for video calling, GPS and microSD card slot. HTC EVO smartphone runs Android 2.1 Mobile OS and comes preloaded with HTC Sense UI and Google’s mobile services.
The HTC EVO 4G Smartphone is expected to be available from Sprint in Summer 2010.
