Tata NANO being crowned the " Indian car of the year " will be available with some necessary upgrades after six months . The market feed back of the "worlds most affordable car" was far bad than expected. Tata Motors is working towards the improvement and the upgrades will be available in six months. They have planned on raising the 5000 rpm rev to 6000 rpm to quicken acceleration.along with a five-speed gearbox (not in India due to safty reasons).
Other expected changes are modified outside rear-view mirror, tail gate that can be opened. And due in 2011, tata motors is expected to launch its nano-diesel. The all-new ,two-cylinder, 40bhp diesel engine has already been started and is in advanced stage of development. Tata will not be launching it for two years as they think it as a threat to the petrol model sales.

Please upgrade yourself with the news of awards TATA NANO has achieved, before writting about the market feedback on NANO.
I think this is a really nifty-looky car, but I'd like to see a direct comparison between the tata nano and the smart car, to highlight the differences....
