Sony Company , added a new light weight notebook to the VAIO lineup - Sony VAIO X. The main feature of this new Sony VAIO X notebook is its slim, lightweight and ultra portable design.Last week Sony launched the new Sony VAIO X - world's slimmest and lightest ultraportable notebook in indian market. Sony launched this new VAIO X notebook to compete with Apple's MacBook Air.
Other major features of Sony VAIO X notebook includes preloaded windows 7 professional operating system, 'Silverthorne' Intel Atom processor Technology and Intel GMA 500 mobile integrated graphics. The notebook weighs about 655 gms and measures only about half inch thick. The new Sony VAIO X notebook comes with an 11.1 inch Backlit display. The new Sony VAIO X notebook comes in two models VPCX113KG and VPCX117LG.
The Sony VAIO X-VPCX113KG notebook is powered by 1.86GHz Intel Atom Z540 'Silverthorne' processor that comes with a 512k cache, 533MHz FSB and Hyper Threading technolog. Other major Sony VAIO X-VPCX113KG notebook specifications include 2GB DDR2 memory, 64GB SSD, Ethernet, 1.3 megapixel webcam, VGA Port, WiFi and Bluetooth. The notebook offers a 3.5 hours battery life. With the optional LL battery pack notebook can provide battery life upto 14 hours.
Sony VAIO X - VPCX117LG notebook is powered by a faster 2GHz Intel Atom Z550 processor , 2GB DDR memory and 128GB SSD storage. The notebook features VGA port, 2 Megapixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, HDMI port and 5 in 1 Card reader. Sony VAIO X -VPCX117LG model offers a standard 6.5 hours of battery life and can provide upto16 hours with optional LL battery pack.
The slim and ultraportable Sony VAIO X notebooks are the perfect competior to the Apple MacBook Air and the only problem comes in the graphics part since the Apple MacBook Air comes with dedicated graphics. Sony VAIO X - VPCX113KG and Sony VAIO X - VPCX117LG notebooks comes with a standard one year international warranty and is priced at Rs. 64,990 for Rs. 84,990 respectively.
