Dell, the worlds leading PC manufacturers updated its Studio 17 notebook by adding multitouch display to the existing model. The Studio 17 notebook now comes with 17.3-inch multitouch display with LED-backlit.
The Dell Studio Notebook 17 features Intel Pentium dual core or Core 2 Duo processor, up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, up to dual 1TB hard drive, integrtaed Intel GMA graphics or ATI graphics card. It comes with an optional Blu-Ray drive. Other features include built in 802.11b/g/n WiFI, HMDI, FireWire, VGA, eSATA, and a couple of USB 2.0 ports.
The Dell Studio 17 Multitouch Notebook comes preinstalled with Windows 7 . The new Multitouch Studi 17 notebook is available at a starting price of $899 and will start shipping from December 4th.

The Dell Studio 17 is going to focre Apple to give their MacBooks a whole new design. The Blu Ray features alone, give it a "one up", and the touchscreen tops it off. I think that at the price it is going for, there will be nothing to stop the Dell studio from out selling Apple's MacBooks through the Christmas season.
