Freecom introduces the first USB 3.0 Hard Drive, XS 3.0 Features and Reviews

Here comes the world's first USB 3.0 harddrive and the end of USB 2.0 Harddrives. Freecom, a Netherland based Company comes with the First External USB 3.0 Harddrive, XS 3.0. The main feature of this new Freecom XS 3.0 is none other than its transfer speed. Freecom company claims that with its Superspeed 3.0 technology , the new XS 3.0 USB harddrive provides a transfer rate of 130 MB/s.

Freecom Xs 3.0 External USB 3.0 HDD is the smallest among 3.5" HDD and the new XS 3.0 harddrive offers the user with maximum storage capacity with fastest data transfer. The Freecom XS 3.0 Harddrive is compact, portable and easy to use. The harddrive can be easily connected to TV via the USB port and can easily share and watch the photos, videos etc on the TV from the HDD.

While coming to the design part, the new Freecom XS 3.0 harddrive is fitted and covered with rubber material that offers more grip , reduces the vibration and also protects the HDD from the sudden jerks. The hard drive is also built on a fanless design so that the XS 3.0 HDD will be silent and quiet while working. It weighs jus 860 grams so that can be portable easily.

Freecom company offers XS 3.0 USB Harddrive in 3 storage capacities- 1TB, 1.5TB and 2 TB. Other major feature of the Harddrive is that XS 3.0 HDD is backward comaptible and can be easily used with USB 2.0 ports also. Dont worry computer users who only have USB 2.0 ports in the computer. Freecom also offers USB 3.0 controller which allows the computer users to take advantage of the USB 3.0 speed(upto 500MB/s).

The Freecom XS 3.0 hard drive will be available from November and it will be first introduced in Europe. The Freecom XS 3.0 1TB model will be available at a price of Euro 119 and the prices of 1.5TB and 2TB HDD are not estimated now. Also the USB 3.0 controller from Freecom will be available at Euro 25.59 for notebooks while the USB 3.0 Express Controller Card for notebooks is priced at Euro 29.95.
