Nikon officially introduced the new DSLR cameras - D300s and D3000. D3000 is an entry level camera and D300s is designed for the professional photographers.
D300s is the upgraded version of the earlier D300 which comes with a 12.3 megapixel lens and features full 720p HD video recording, 51-point autofocus system, a 7 fps continuous shooting and Dual CF and SD card slots. The new Nikon D300s professional DSLR camera is equipped with a new Quiet drive mode and a dedicated Live View and an Info button compared with its previous edition D300.
Nikon's entry level DSLR camera D3000 is equipped with a 10.2 MP DX-format CCD sensor and 3fps continuous shooting. It comes with a 3 inch LCD display and other main Features of D3000 DSLR camera includes 11-point AF system with 3D tracking and a new Guide mode which provides a simple interface meant to help first-time users to select shooting modes. This new entry level DSLR D3000 is designed for beginners and experienced compact users.
Both Nikon cameras - D300s and D3000 come with an Active D-Lighting function which claims to vastly improve shadows and highlights of high-contrast scenes and in-camera photo editing and Nikon's Integrated Dust Reduction System in the camera.
Both the DSLR cameras from nikon, D300s and D3000 will be available in the international markets August 2009 onwards. The Nikon D300S will be available at a price of $1799 (Rs. 86,335 approx.) and D3000 for $599.95 .

the D300s is making me drool.. i so wanna have one as my next camera. i have a D90 right now and im hoping to buy a second camera and i think the D300s is the one..
yes,finally i have upgraded from the present Nikon L3 to Nikon D3000 DSLR camera for hobby and i feel it is worth it's value.it is user friendly and best suited for Indian conditions where sunlight and dust present abundantly.the lense is 18-55mm.
