Gigabyte announced the launch of the AMD based AM3 Dragon motherboard GA-MA790FXT -UD5P in India.It is the company’s first AMD Dragon Platform qualified motherboard in the Indian market.
The AMD dragon motherboard GA-MA790FXT-UD5P is developed for Supporting the next generation 45nm AMD AM3 Phenom II processors, the motherboard features HyperTransport 3.0 and integrated DDR3 memory controller. It offers a speed of up to 1666+MHz (OC) to run high performance platforms for work, home and play with superior energy efficiency.This is said to be thefirst motherboard to provide DDR3 memory support for the AMD platform.
The GA-MA790FXT-UD5P incorporates the highest quality 8+2 CPU VRM power phase design to resist 140W CPUs, AMD 790FX North Bridge to support Dual x16 PCI-E 2.0 graphics interfaces and the latest ATI CrossFireX. It is equipped with dual graphics cards, which provides compatibility with up to 4 monitors, complying with ultimate gaming platform or multitasking capabilities. Besides, it also supports AMD OverDrive that allows users to personalize and examine the performance and settings of the unit.The motherboard is compatible with Ultra Durable 3 design and also equipped with Gigabyte’s Smart Backup technology, the GA-MA790FXT-UD5P employs 6 SATA 2.0 (3Gb/s) ports from the SB750 and 4 SATA 2.0 ports through the onboard JMicron controller for effortless hardware-based RAID data protection.
The Gigabyte GA-MA790FXT-UD5P motherboard is available at a price of Rs 14,990 in India through Avnet (India), Ingram Micro and Redington.
