Overheated PC results in damage to your CPU or other circuitry. Newely coming motherboards are offering a new feature called "circuit breaker" built into their BIOS, which automatically shuts down the PC when the internal temperature exceeds a certain level. You can enable this feature in your PC Setup program: u just enter the BIOS while booting your system by pressing the appropriate key--it 's often the or key (you'll be told which one to press).For some laptops key is used to enter the BIOS. Look for a reference to a temperature setting under the 'Power' option or similarly labeled section of PC Setup. The free Motherboard monitor temperature utility allows you to check your system's temperature from Windows.
