The main feature of the Intel Pine Trail Atom Procesors(N450 , D410 / D510) were the new 64 bit architecture while the previous versions (N270, N280) will have a 32 bit one. The new Pine Trail Atom Processors also offers the more advance new integrated graphics chipset (GMA 3150). One of the most significant features of the new platform is the integration of memory controller and graphics into the CPU, a first in the industry on x-86 chips.

Other benefits of the new Pine Trail series Atom processors include 20% less power consumption and 60% reduced size of the platform means smaller and thinner devices, more battery life and the chance for more fanless devices. The Atom N450 has a total TDP of 7W (inc. chipset), D410 has a TDP of 12W, and D510 with a 15W TDP. All run at 1.66GHz speed.

Pricing and availability will be announced in January as systems become available from OEMs.

Sources indicate that Asus Company is planning to introduce its latest Gaming Notebook based on the Intel Core i5 processor - Asus X77. The new gaming laptop from Asus will feature a 17.3 inch LED backlit display which supports upto a maximum resolution of 1600X900.

Asus X77 gaming notebook will be powered by Core i5-430M processor and other specifications of the notebook include a set of two 500GB SATA HDD, 4GB RAM and ATI’s Mobility Radeon HD5730 DDR3 graphics card. Other Asus X77 notebook features include HDMI port, eSATA port, WiFi, Bluetooth and 5-in-1 card reader.

After launching Touch2 smartphone in india two months ago, HTC india now comes with the latest HD2 smartphone in india. The HD2 is a windows based smartphone which features a 4.3 inch WVGA display that supports a resolution of 480 X 800.

HTC HD2 is the first windows smartphone to feature the HTC Sense UI. This Sense User UI will make the smartphone more engaging. HTC HD2 smartphone is powered by 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and is equipped with 512 MB ROM and 448MB of RAM. Other features of HTC HD2 phone includes WiFi , Bluetooth, 5-megapixel camera with auto focus and dual LED flash, 3G capable and packs a 3.5mm jack.

According to HTC, the phone is the first to offer capacitive touch display on a Windows platform thereby making viewing, zooming, resizing websites, Microsoft Office files, PD documents and pictures easier to use.

HTC HD2 smartphone runs the latest Windows Mobile 6.5 OS and will available with a price tag of Rs 36,990.

Toshiba unveils its 64GB NAND flash memory

Recently Toshiba introduced the flash memory with the highest capacity - 64 GB NAND Flash memory. The new 64GB flash memory is designed with toshibas 32nm processing technology and comes with a dedicated controller and sixteen 32 Gbit chips that is just 30 micrometers thanks to chip thinning and layering methods.

These new modules could be used to double the memory capacity of some portables such as smartphones and iPods. Now Apple iPhones will have maximum upto 32GB memory and with these latest compnents it can be increasedd to 64GB. The 64GB modules will be shipped this month in some small quantities and large production will start by the Q1, 2010.

The 64GB chip can deliver up to 1070 hours of recorded music, 19.2hours of standard video, and 8.3 hours of HD video. There is no words about the pricing of the chip.

The notebook will be unveiled at the upcoming CES 2010 function and there is no reports regaarding the pricing and availability of the laptop.

RAmos, the chinese company has recently introduced its new Portable media Player - T9HD. The RAmos T9HD is an updated version of the previous T9 PMP. RAmos T9HD portable media player comes with 4.3-inch touchscreen display that supports a resolution of 800×480.

RAmos T9HD PMP is built on the Rockchip RK2806 chip and comes support for 720P video Playback. The RAmos PMP supports a variety of file formats that include DivX, AVI, XviD, RMVB, MKV, FLV, VOB. It also supportsaudio formats like MP3, WMA, WAV, OGG, APE, FLAC, and graphics in JPG, BMP and GIF.


RAmos T9HD Portable Media Player features include inbuilt mic, voice recorder, TV Out and 8GB internal storage which can be expanded upto another 8GB using Memory cards. RAmos T9HD PMP also comes with USB 2.0 interface and features the Active View, which is a widget that can show either you favourite pic or album on the home screen while playing a song on the media player.
